Kono Dame Doru Domome! - Chika Idol wo Budōkan ni Tatasenai to, Gal Shachō ni Boku no Naizō Urarechau!? #1

Kono Dame Doru Domome! is a light novel series written by Shiroichi Amaui and illustrated by Gungun, first published by Kadokawa under their Sneaker Bunko imprint in 2023. The story functions as a satirical take on the idol industry and corporate management, centered on a protagonist forced to manage a failing underground idol group to avoid having his internal organs sold by a ruthless female CEO.

The series reflects the contemporary trend of high-stakes, comedic light novels that blend music industry tropes with absurd, life-or-death scenarios. Gungun’s character designs lean into the distinct visual tropes of modern anime aesthetics, emphasizing the contrast between the cynical, high-pressure business environment and the bright, aspirational nature of the idol world that the narrative parodies.
