Konyaku Haki Kara Hajimaru Futari no Renai Jijou #1

Konyaku Haki Kara Hajimaru Futari no Renai Jijou, or The Love Situation of Two People Starting from the Annulment of Their Engagement, originated as a serialized light novel series before being adapted into manga format. The first volume serves as the foundational entry for a narrative centered on the trope of a high-society romance disrupted by political or personal conflict. Its creation aligns with the popular trend in modern Japanese light literature where protagonists must navigate the fallout of failed betrothals to forge independent paths or authentic romantic connections.

The character designs and visual storytelling within the manga adaptation are crafted to reflect the light, often humorous, yet emotionally earnest tone inherent in the genre. Created to appeal to readers who enjoy character-driven dramas with strong interpersonal stakes, the series focuses on the evolution of its lead couple after they decide to bypass societal expectations. The design work emphasizes expressive facial features and traditional shojo-style aesthetics to underscore the internal development of the characters as they move from a place of public scandal to private intimacy.
