Kyō mo Curry Desu ka? #6

Kyō mo Curry Desu ka? (Is It Curry Again Today?) is a niche dōjinshi series centered on the culinary and cultural obsession with Japanese-style curry. Released in the mid-2010s during a surge of interest in regional cooking subcultures within the independent publishing scene, the series explores different curry recipes, ingredient sourcing, and the social ritual of dining. Issue #6 specifically focuses on the integration of seasonal vegetables into traditional roux bases, reflecting a common trend in independent food writing where authors seek to elevate home-cooked staples through meticulous technical detail.

The art and layout are characteristic of the genre, prioritizing functional recipe visualization paired with lighthearted, slice-of-life commentary. The design leans into a clean, minimalist aesthetic, using photography of the finished dishes contrasted with hand-drawn illustrations that explain the prep process. Like many items in this specific dōjin category, the issue was produced in limited quantities for distribution at events such as Comiket, and it remains a documented piece of the broader culture of enthusiast-led gastronomic documentation in Japan.
