La Bestia del Rey #2

La Bestia del Rey #2 emerged during the mid-2010s as a notable entry in the independent comic landscape, serving as the second installment in a dark fantasy series that blends folkloric horror with visceral, stylized action. Produced by a small creative team, the series was designed to explore themes of inherited trauma and supernatural warfare within a gritty, atmospheric world. The creators sought to subvert traditional heroic tropes, opting instead for character-driven narratives that emphasize the high psychological toll of the series' central conflict.

The aesthetic of the issue is defined by high-contrast linework and a muted, earthy color palette, which serves to heighten the sense of unease inherent in the story. Critics and readers noted the intentional shift in pacing compared to the inaugural issue, as the creative team focused on expanding the series' lore and establishing the protagonist's internal struggle. While it remains a niche title, the issue is often discussed by enthusiasts of independent speculative fiction for its commitment to a cohesive, somber visual language.
