La Zorra y el Cuervo #188

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic book series centered on the antics of a cunning fox and a clever crow, drawing thematic inspiration from Aesop's fables. Published by the Editora Abril, the series became a staple of Cuban childhood literature, particularly during the late 20th century. Issue #188 fits into the long-running publication history of these characters, who were adapted to reflect a distinct local visual style while maintaining the slapstick, adversarial dynamic common in mid-century animation and print cartoons.

The character designs for the series evolved under the guidance of various Cuban illustrators, often characterized by a clean, minimalist aesthetic suitable for newsprint reproduction. The series was designed to be accessible and educational, serving as a primary source of entertainment for youth populations in Cuba. Reception was characterized by deep cultural affection, as the characters transitioned from simple print media into recognized mascots of the local publishing landscape.
