Lord El-Melloi II-sei no Jikenbo #14

Lord El-Melloi II-sei no Jikenbo, known in English as The Case Files of Lord El-Melloi II, is a light novel series written by Makoto Sanda and illustrated by Mineji Sakamoto, set within the expansive Fate universe. The series centers on Waver Velvet, a character returning from Fate/Zero, who has taken on the mantle of Lord El-Melloi II to navigate the complex magical politics of the Clock Tower. Issue number 14 serves as a continuation of the narrative that expands upon the lore of magecraft and mystery-solving within the Nasuverse.

The visual identity of the series is heavily defined by Mineji Sakamoto’s illustrations, which blend gothic aesthetic sensibilities with the modern character designs typical of Type-Moon publications. The series has been well-regarded by fans of the franchise for providing a grounded, investigative perspective on a world otherwise dominated by the high-stakes battles of the Holy Grail Wars. Its reception has remained consistently positive among readers who appreciate the methodical pacing and the growth of the protagonist from his earlier, more impulsive iterations.
