Love Out on a Limb #3

Love Out on a Limb was a short-lived romance anthology series published by Charlton Comics during the early 1970s. Released as part of the publisher's broad experimentation with the romance genre, the series aimed to capitalize on the audience's appetite for melodramatic storytelling and emotional narratives that were a staple of the era's pocket-sized comic books.

The creative direction for these issues often relied on the collective stable of artists and writers employed by Charlton at their Derby, Connecticut office. Like many of their counterparts in the romance line, the creative teams often remained uncredited due to the studio's focus on rapid production and affordability, resulting in a distinct visual style characterized by expressive, mid-century illustration techniques that defined the aesthetic of low-cost newsstand romance comics.
