Lycanthropos's Sex Life #1

Lycanthropos's Sex Life #1 emerged during the late 1980s as part of the independent underground comix movement. The series was designed to lean into the transgressive, satirical nature of the era's small-press comics, utilizing the werewolf mythos as a vehicle for dark, absurdist humor. It reflects the DIY ethos common among creators working outside the mainstream comic book industry at the time, prioritizing experimental themes over traditional narrative structures.

The comic was produced to challenge conventional depictions of monsters by contrasting supernatural horror with mundane, often explicit, domestic and social situations. While it gained a modest following within niche comic circles as a curiosity of the period's counterculture scene, it was received primarily as an artifact of its specific underground subculture, remaining a deep-cut obscurity rather than a widely distributed publication.
