Marc Spector: Moon Knight #38

Marc Spector: Moon Knight #38 was published in 1992 as part of a long-running Marvel Comics series focused on the vigilante Moon Knight. During this era, the title navigated the grittier, darker tone common to early nineties comics, balancing Marc Spector's complex dissociative identity disorder with his supernatural and street-level crime-fighting activities. This specific issue arrived during a period of transition for the character as Marvel experimented with darker narrative arcs.

The issue features cover art by Stephen Platt, an artist whose kinetic, highly detailed, and exaggerated style became a hallmark of the mid-nineties aesthetic. Platt's work on the title was often lauded for its high-energy visuals and dramatic composition, which helped distinguish the series during a competitive landscape. While the story within fits into the broader mythology of the character, the aesthetic of this run remains a notable example of the stylistic shifts within the Marvel universe at the time.
