Marc Spector: Moon Knight #47

Released in early 1993, Marc Spector: Moon Knight #47 is part of the long-running series that sought to modernize the character for the grit of the nineties. During this period, the title was deeply immersed in the 'Infinity Crusade' crossover event, which forced the protagonist into cosmic conflicts that shifted the tone away from his traditional street-level vigilante roots in New York City.

The issue features artwork by Salvador Larroca and writing by Terry Kavanagh, who worked within the editorial mandate of the era to integrate Moon Knight into the broader Marvel Universe's ongoing crossovers. While the title often struggled to balance its noir foundations with these mandatory editorial tie-ins, the run remains a significant example of the creative pressures placed on character-centric series during the mid-nineties comic book boom.
