Marvel Tales Featuring Spider-Man #244

Marvel Tales Featuring Spider-Man was a long-running anthology series published by Marvel Comics, serving primarily as a reprint vehicle that allowed readers to revisit classic Spider-Man stories from earlier decades. Issue #244, released in early 1991, continued this mission by presenting older narratives to a new generation of collectors and fans, maintaining the familiar aesthetic of the original Silver and Bronze Age stories it sought to preserve.

The design and content of the issue followed the established format of the series, featuring iconic cover art and internal storytelling that highlighted the creative output of legends like Stan Lee and Steve Ditko or their immediate successors. As a reprint title, it was not intended to break new narrative ground, but rather to function as a bridge between Marvel’s rich historical catalog and the commercial interests of the early nineties direct market.
