Michael Recycle #3

Michael Recycle #3, published by IDW Publishing, is part of a series created by author Ellie Bethel and illustrator Alexandra Colombo. The series originated as a set of rhyming picture books designed to introduce young children to environmental stewardship, recycling, and sustainable living, featuring a caped crusader who encourages his town to reduce waste. The comic adaptation successfully translated these ecological themes into a serialized format, aiming to make complex global issues accessible and engaging for a younger readership.

The design of the character, Michael Recycle, centers on a cheerful, heroic aesthetic that balances educational messaging with vibrant, approachable visuals. Alexandra Colombo's illustration style utilizes a clean, colorful palette that remains consistent across the series, mirroring the tone of the original books. Upon its release, the series was well-received by parents and educators for its positive influence, providing a tangible way to discuss environmental responsibility without overwhelming the target demographic.
