Minor Arcana #15

Minor Arcana issue number 15 emerged during the mid-period of the series' publication, a time characterized by an evolving artistic direction that sought to bridge the gap between traditional occult symbolism and modern graphic narrative techniques. The series as a whole was conceived as an experimental exploration of tarot archetypes through sequential art, aiming to modernize archaic imagery for a contemporary audience. By the time the fifteenth installment was released, the creative team had solidified a distinct visual identity, favoring dense, atmospheric linework that prioritized mood and metaphorical depth over straightforward linear storytelling.

The design of this specific issue reflects the editorial decision to deviate from the standard rigid structure of previous entries, allowing for more fluid page layouts that echoed the unpredictable nature of the arcana being depicted. It was produced during a period when the publisher was pushing for greater collaboration between established comic book illustrators and independent gallery artists. The reception of the series remained consistent among enthusiasts of underground publishing, who praised its dedication to thematic consistency and its refusal to simplify complex esoteric concepts for the sake of accessibility.
