Miss Truesdale y la Caída de Hiperbórea #1

Miss Truesdale y la Caída de Hiperbórea #1 is the inaugural issue of a limited series written by Mike Mignola and illustrated by Warwick Johnson-Cadwell. Published by Dark Horse Comics in 2023, the series serves as a direct expansion of the expanded Hellboy universe, specifically delving into the cryptic history of the subterranean land of Hyperborea that has often been referenced in the background lore of Mignola's wider mythos.

The visual identity of the work is defined by Johnson-Cadwell’s distinct, scratchy, and atmospheric linework, which departs from the traditional style associated with the Hellboy franchise to create a more gothic and eerie aesthetic. The narrative follows the titular Miss Truesdale, a Victorian-era governess who finds herself ensnared in a cosmic conspiracy, and was met with critical appreciation for its ability to balance established Mignolaverse world-building with a fresh, character-driven perspective.
