My Darling Devilish Daughter #2

My Darling Devilish Daughter #2 was released during the mid-1950s as part of a short-lived series published by Standard Comics. This era of the comic book industry was defined by the transition away from crime and horror titles toward more varied genres, as publishers navigated the increasingly restrictive atmosphere imposed by the Comics Code Authority. The title reflects the lighthearted, domestic-focused humor genre that sought to capture the interest of teen and young adult readers during the post-war period.

The series featured whimsical illustrations characteristic of the mid-century house style, focusing on relatable, light-hearted tropes centered around teenage rebellion and family dynamics. While the creative team behind this specific issue is not widely credited in historical archives, the production followed standard industry practices of the time, where freelance artists and writers often produced content anonymously or under house names. Like many secondary titles from smaller publishers of this period, it remains an elusive curiosity for collectors focused on the pre-Code or early Code-era humor comics.
