Never Satisfied #1

Never Satisfied #1 serves as the debut entry for the indie comic series created by writer Taylor Esposito and artist Jae Gast. Emerging from the vibrant landscape of independent creator-owned publishing, the series was designed to explore themes of personal ambition and the relentless pursuit of perfection through a stylized, atmospheric visual lens. The creators aimed to craft a narrative that felt both deeply personal and visually distinct, utilizing sharp character designs and emotive color palettes to distinguish the work from mainstream superhero output.

Upon its release, the issue was received as a promising entry in the independent comics scene, garnering attention for its collaborative synergy between Esposito’s tight, dialogue-driven scripts and Gast’s expressive, kinetic art style. It is often cited by collectors of small-press titles as a quintessential example of modern indie storytelling, where the creators maintained full creative control to ensure the tone remained consistent with their original artistic vision for the series’ overarching arc.
