Nige Jōzu no Wakagimi #26

Nige Jōzu no Wakagimi, translated as The Elusive Samurai, is a historical manga series written and illustrated by Yusei Matsui. Debuting in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2021, the series centers on Hojo Tokiyuki, a young historical figure who survives the fall of his family during the Kamakura shogunate. Issue 26 corresponds to a specific chapter installment within the serialized narrative, released as part of the magazine's ongoing weekly distribution.

Matsui is noted for his distinct blend of historical research and stylized, often surreal character expressions, a signature approach he previously refined in Assassination Classroom. This series was conceived to explore the life of a 'loser' in history who nevertheless manages to leave an impact, contrasting traditional heroic archetypes. The series has been well-regarded for its unique tone, balancing rigorous attention to the political climate of 14th-century Japan with modern, comedic pacing.
