Okake ni Natta Jumon wa Genzai Tsukawarete Orimasen #1

Okake ni Natta Jumon wa Genzai Tsukawarete Orimasen, which translates to The Spell You Dialed Is Currently Not in Use, is a manga series written and illustrated by mangaka Kyoko Kumagai. Debuting in the shojo magazine Sho-Comi, the series explores themes of romance and supernatural fantasy, fitting into the stylistic traditions of early 2000s Japanese youth-oriented manga. The first volume serves as an introduction to the series' unique blend of emotional storytelling and mystical elements that Kumagai is known for.

The design of the series centers on high-contrast character illustrations and emotive line work, characteristic of the Sho-Comi aesthetic during that era. It was received as a standard entry in the shojo genre, appreciated by readers for its focus on adolescent interpersonal dynamics wrapped in a supernatural premise. While it remains a niche title outside of Japan, it is recognized by collectors as a distinct representative of Kumagai’s thematic development during her time with the publisher.
