One World Under Doom #1

One World Under Doom #1 was released by Marvel Comics in late 2024 as the launch title for a crossover event centered on Doctor Doom. The narrative explores a reality where Victor Von Doom has achieved global dominion, reflecting the publisher's strategy of re-imagining its iconic antagonist as an absolute sovereign rather than a traditional villain. The title serves as a centerpiece for a line-wide initiative that reshapes the Marvel multiverse through Doom's ascension to power.

The issue features an extensive creative team led by writer Jed MacKay and artist Stefano Caselli, who aimed to establish a high-stakes, geopolitical tone distinct from standard superhero conflicts. The design and visual direction focus on the aesthetic of a monolithic, omnipresent regime, utilizing grand-scale imagery to convey the weight of Doom's rule. Upon its debut, the series was positioned as a major publishing event, with critics noting the attempt to blend classic Marvel lore with a dark, dystopian sociopolitical premise.
