Ore Igai, Zenin Mushoku. #1

Ore Igai, Zenin Mushoku, which translates to 'Everyone Except Me Is Unemployed,' is a manga series written by Izumi and illustrated by Kousuke. The series launched within the competitive landscape of modern Japanese seinen manga, aiming to blend the familiar tropes of the isekai genre with a satirical, grounded commentary on contemporary labor markets and societal expectations. It reflects the growing trend of deconstructing fantasy power fantasies by placing relatable, albeit cynical, characters into extraordinary situations where the stakes are redefined by modern economic frustrations.

The design and narrative approach were crafted to appeal to readers weary of standard hero archetypes. By focusing on a protagonist who finds himself uniquely employable in a world where everyone else lacks traditional professional skills or purpose, the creators sought to highlight the absurdity of modern corporate life. While the series occupies a niche space within the broader manga market, it has been noted for its distinct tone and its willingness to pivot away from traditional action-heavy plots in favor of character-driven humor.
