Ore no Vaccine Dake ga Zombie Shita Sekai wo Sukueru #1

Ore no Vaccine Dake ga Zombie Shita Sekai wo Sukueru, or Only My Vaccine Can Save a World Turned Zombie, is a light novel series that emerged within the saturated Japanese zombie-apocalypse genre. Published by Kadokawa under their Sneaker Bunko imprint, the series debuted during a period when light novel readers were increasingly seeking subversions of conventional survival tropes. The first volume was written by author Yūki Takemiya and illustrated by artist Tomohiro Kai, whose character designs were intended to bridge the gap between high-stakes horror and the lighthearted aesthetics typical of the medium.

The narrative follows a protagonist whose unique biological makeup grants him the only effective countermeasure against a global contagion. The design of the first volume, featuring Kai's clean, expressive line work, was crafted to appeal to a demographic interested in character-driven narratives within a post-apocalyptic framework. Upon its release, it was received as a niche entry in the genre, garnering attention primarily from dedicated readers of the Sneaker Bunko line who appreciate experimental takes on traditional horror premises.
