Osoraku Kanojo wa Ore no Aniki wo Neratteru #1

Osoraku Kanojo wa Ore no Aniki wo Neratteru, known in English as Perhaps That Girl Is Aiming for My Brother, is a light novel series written by Mitsuki Mio with illustrations by U35. The first volume was published in Japan in 2018 under the GA Bunko label, a line known for focusing on romantic comedies and youth-oriented character dramas. The narrative centers on a comedic misunderstanding involving a younger sister who appears to have developed a fixation on the protagonist's older brother, serving as an entry in the popular trope-heavy genre of sibling-focused romantic comedies.

The character design and interior illustrations by U35 were central to the series' marketing, utilizing a distinct, clean aesthetic that resonated with the demographic of light novel readers who prioritize visual appeal. The first volume was received as a standard entry in the modern light novel market, garnering a modest but stable following among fans of the genre. Like many light novels in this category, its success was largely driven by the interplay between its lighthearted premise and the expressive art style that defined the visual identity of the characters.
