Pakt der Yokai - Natsume's Book of Friends #28

Natsume's Book of Friends, known in Japan as Natsume Yuujinchou, is a long-running manga series created by Yuki Midorikawa that debuted in 2003. The story follows Takashi Natsume, a boy who can see spirits and inherits a book containing the names of those spirits, leading him on a path to return their names and find his place in the world. Volume 28 continues the series' established themes of gentle melancholy, folklore, and the exploration of bonds between humans and the supernatural.

The character designs and atmospheric art style are hallmarks of Midorikawa’s approach to the supernatural genre, which prioritizes emotional resonance over typical shōjo tropes. Published in Germany under the title Pakt der Yokai, the local releases maintain the aesthetic integrity of the original Japanese tankōbon. The series has garnered a loyal following for its consistent quality and its nuanced, episodic storytelling, which has remained a staple of manga readership since its inception.
