Q on the Seaside #3

Q on the Seaside is a niche, self-published periodical known for its idiosyncratic blend of coastal photography, seaside folklore, and experimental prose. Issue number 3 emerged from a period of growing interest in small-press zines that documented the melancholic, often overlooked aesthetics of British and Northern European shorelines. It was curated to evoke the specific, transient atmosphere of off-season holidays and the weathered architecture of abandoned piers.

The visual direction of this issue relied heavily on muted color palettes and minimalist layouts, aiming to contrast the vastness of the sea with the intimacy of the printed page. While the series remains a largely underground endeavor, its contributors often utilized a mix of analog film and contemporary design sensibilities to capture a sense of nostalgic detachment. Upon its release, it was noted in independent literary circles for its cohesive thematic focus and tactile production quality.
