Remède Impérial - L'Étrange Médecin de la Cour #5

Remède Impérial - L'Étrange Médecin de la Cour is a niche Franco-Belgian comic series centered on the historical and fantastical exploits of a 17th-century court physician. Issue number five, part of the initial narrative arc, explores the intersection of burgeoning medical science and the elaborate, often perilous political atmosphere of the period. The series was developed to bridge the gap between historical drama and dark mystery, appealing to readers interested in early modern Europe and the occult.

The visual identity of the series is defined by detailed, atmospheric line work that emphasizes the claustrophobic nature of court life and the gritty reality of historical medicine. The creative team aimed for a balance between accuracy and stylized storytelling, utilizing a color palette that reflects the dramatic tensions of the setting. Upon its release, the issue was recognized for its evocative world-building and character design, establishing it as a distinct entry within the independent European comic landscape.
