Roberto Alcázar y Pedrín #41

Roberto Alcázar y Pedrín debuted in 1941 and became a cornerstone of Spanish pulp comics during the post-Civil War era. The series followed the globetrotting adventures of private investigator Roberto Alcázar and his young assistant, Pedrín, reflecting the conservative societal values and escapist sensibilities of the mid-20th century in Spain. Created by Juan Bautista Puerto and famously illustrated by Eduardo Vañó, the series relied on a distinct, high-contrast black-and-white art style that defined its long-running visual identity.

Issue #41 was produced during the formative years of the publication, a period when the adventures frequently focused on international intrigue, crime-solving, and exotic locations. The series was designed to provide serialized, accessible entertainment for a wide audience, and its success paved the way for thousands of subsequent installments. It is remembered today primarily as a significant artifact of Spanish popular culture, documenting the aesthetic and narrative conventions that dominated the medium for over three decades.
