Ryūketsu Megami-Den: Teikoku no Musume #2

Ryūketsu Megami-Den: Teikoku no Musume is a light novel series written by Misa Saki and illustrated by Kikka Nomura. The series was published in the mid-2000s under the Cobalt Bunko imprint, a label managed by Shueisha that primarily targeted a female adolescent audience. This specific volume serves as the second installment in the Teikoku no Musume sub-series, continuing the narrative established in the debut book.

The series is characteristic of the romantic fantasy and historical-inspired light novel trends prevalent in Japanese publishing during this period. Kikka Nomura’s illustrations were instrumental in defining the series' aesthetic, utilizing a delicate, ornamental style that appealed to readers seeking the blend of court intrigue and personal drama typical of the Cobalt Bunko catalogue. The series was received as a standard but well-regarded entry within its niche, valued for its focus on character dynamics and traditional fantasy tropes.
