Sasael no Naka ni wa Daremoinai #1

Sasael no Naka ni wa Daremoinai is a manga series created by the artist known as Gaku, which debuted in the late 2010s within the landscape of Japanese psychological and experimental seinen manga. The series emerged during a period of rising interest in niche, atmospheric narratives that prioritize unsettling imagery and existential themes over traditional plot progression.

The visual identity of the series, characterized by Gaku's distinctive, often minimalist and stark illustrative style, was intentionally crafted to evoke a sense of isolation and internal psychological turmoil. The work received a modest but dedicated reception among readers of indie manga, valued for its ability to transform simple, claustrophobic settings into vessels for profound, often difficult, emotional exploration.
