Shikkoku-Zukai no Saikyō Yūsha: Nakama Zenin ni Uragirareta Node Saikyō no Mamono to Kumimasu, known in English as The Strongest Hero of the Jet-Black User: I Was Betrayed by All My Companions so I Will Team Up with the Strongest Monster, originated as a web novel series written by Daisuke Kiuchi. The narrative follows a protagonist who, after being cast out by his adventuring party, leverages his unique summoning abilities to forge an alliance with powerful monsters to seek vengeance and forge a new path. The series leans into the popular 'betrayal and revenge' trope within the dark fantasy subgenre of Japanese light novels.

The manga adaptation, which features volume 13, is illustrated by Teru Arai and serialized through Square Enix's Manga UP! platform. The adaptation is recognized for its gritty visual style, which emphasizes the dark tone of the betrayal narrative and the intricate designs of the summoned monsters. As a mid-series volume, issue 13 continues the established momentum of the manga, maintaining the series' focus on the evolving power dynamics and strategic combat sequences that define the protagonist's quest for redemption.
