Sleepy Hollow: The Witches of the Western Wood #3

Sleepy Hollow: The Witches of the Western Wood was a limited comic series published by Zenescope Entertainment, intended to expand upon the mythology surrounding the legend of Sleepy Hollow. Released as part of the publisher's broader tendency to reimagine classic literary and folklore tales through a dark, high-fantasy lens, the third issue continues the narrative arc that repositions iconic figures within a supernatural conflict. The series was designed to fit into the company's established house style, often characterized by dramatic layouts and character-focused cover art.

The creative team behind this project worked to maintain visual consistency with Zenescope's other fantasy titles, prioritizing a cinematic aesthetic that leans into stylized horror elements. As a mid-tier independent comic release, the series found a specific audience among fans of modern dark fantasy adaptations. While it did not shift the broader cultural landscape of the medium, it stands as a clear example of the publisher’s approach to utilizing public domain properties to drive a serialized, niche-market narrative.
