「Sono Hen no Kusa Demo Kuttoke」 to Tsuihō Sareta Munō Skill 【Shokubutsugui】 Mochi Tenseisha, Elf no Sato de Maboroshi no Shokubutsu wo Tabete Musō Suru #1

This light novel volume, which translates roughly to 'Eat Some Grass Around There,' originated as a web novel serialized on the Japanese user-generated content platform Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It belongs to the popular isekai fantasy subgenre, specifically focusing on the 'banished from the party' trope where a protagonist possesses an initially misunderstood or seemingly useless skill—in this case, the ability to consume plants—which ultimately becomes the source of their hidden power.

The physical publication, featuring illustrations by artist Nardack, was released to expand the story for a print audience. The design and narrative direction lean into the cozy fantasy aesthetic, emphasizing the protagonist's survival and growth within an elven setting. The work represents the broader trend of web novels being adapted into print media through dedicated light novel imprints, finding an audience among readers who enjoy light-hearted progression fantasy with a focus on world-building and character discovery.
