Sono Otoko, Numa ni Tsuki. #5

Sono Otoko, Numa ni Tsuki. is a psychological seinen manga series written and illustrated by mangaka Anji Tsuyuri. Debuting in the late 2010s, the series fits into a niche of character-driven drama that explores the complexities of human obsession and domestic tension. It was serialized in the magazine Monthly Afternoon, a publication known for hosting works that lean toward sophisticated, thematic storytelling rather than traditional action-oriented tropes.

The fifth volume continues the series' signature aesthetic, which relies on stark, emotive paneling to convey the psychological deterioration of its protagonists. Tsuyuri's visual approach emphasizes the entrapment suggested by the title, using shadow and claustrophobic framing to mirror the characters' internal struggles. Upon release, the volume was noted by critics for its slow-burn narrative progression and the author’s willingness to navigate uncomfortable social dynamics with precision and restraint.
