Spy x Family #14

Spy x Family, written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, began its serialization in the digital platform Shonen Jump+ in 2019. The series follows the life of Twilight, a master spy who must build a makeshift family to complete a mission, unaware that his new wife is a professional assassin and his daughter is a telepath. Volume 14, released in 2024, continues the intricate balance of high-stakes espionage, domestic comedy, and character-driven drama that has defined the series since its debut.

Endo’s design philosophy for the manga emphasizes sharp, clean linework and expressive character acting that bridges the gap between gritty action and lighthearted sitcom dynamics. The cover art for issue 14 reflects this aesthetic, utilizing bold composition and stylistic motifs consistent with the series' retro-spy sensibilities. Upon release, the volume was met with continued acclaim from readers who praised Endo’s ability to deepen the emotional arcs of the Forger family while maintaining the brisk pacing of the overarching narrative.
