Supergirl: The World #1

Supergirl: The World #1 was published by DC Comics in 2024 as part of a global anthology series focusing on the character Kara Zor-El. The project was designed to showcase the hero's impact across diverse cultures and settings, moving away from a single narrative thread to provide a mosaic of perspectives. It reflects a trend in modern comic publishing toward prestige-format, international-themed storytelling that explores how a singular iconic character resonates in vastly different environments.

The issue features contributions from an international team of writers and artists, including Marguerite Bennett, Joanne Starer, and various creators who sought to highlight the character's universal themes of hope and adaptation. The creative direction emphasized a distinct visual aesthetic for each short story, allowing artists to experiment with varying styles while maintaining the core identity of the protagonist. It was generally well-received by fans and critics for its ambitious scope and its commitment to highlighting global comic talent.
