Supplément de Zorro #22

Supplément de Zorro was a series of French comic booklets published in the mid-20th century, serving as a spin-off to the popular Zorro adventures that captivated European youth following the success of the character in film and serials. These issues were typically produced by Éditions de la Sfpi and aimed to provide accessible, serialized heroic tales that fit within the cultural landscape of post-war French bande dessinée.

The design of these booklets focused on affordability and portability, featuring stark, dynamic black-and-white or limited-color illustrations meant to convey swift action and classic swashbuckling imagery. While individual artists often remained uncredited in the ephemeral mass-market production of these supplements, the series was well-received by young readers for its consistent delivery of the legendary vigilante's exploits, representing a significant period in the international expansion of American comic book icons.
