Taishō Yotogi Roman: Kinyōbi no Hanayome #2

Taishō Yotogi Roman: Kinyōbi no Hanayome, or 'Taishō Bedtime Romance: Friday’s Bride,' is a Japanese voice-acting drama series released on CD. The project explores the popular 'Taishō romance' aesthetic, a genre of fiction set during Japan’s Taishō period (1912–1926) that frequently blends historical atmosphere with themes of Western-influenced modernization and intimate, period-specific courtship. These releases are designed to function as immersive audio experiences, utilizing binaural recording techniques to create a sense of presence between the listener and the character.

This second volume continues the narrative arc of the series, focusing on refined character development and the evocative sound design characteristic of the Rejet label. The series is known for its high production values and its reliance on skilled voice actors to convey the sentimental tone of the era. While these audio dramas are a niche segment of the Japanese hobbyist market, they are highly regarded by fans for their faithful adherence to the romanticized portrayal of the Taishō era, often emphasizing the stylistic interplay between traditional Japanese domestic life and the encroaching influence of Western fashion and social etiquette.
