The Flash #282

Published by DC Comics in February 1980, The Flash #282 represents a late Bronze Age installment in the long-running adventures of Barry Allen. During this era, the series was navigating a transition period, moving toward the more complex narrative threads that would eventually culminate in the definitive crisis storylines of the mid-1980s. The issue serves as a piece of continuity for readers following the hero's struggle against his classic rogues' gallery.

The cover and interior art from this period reflect the house style of DC editors and artists like Carmine Infantino, who remained deeply associated with the aesthetic identity of the character. The creative direction aimed to maintain a balance between traditional superhero tropes and the evolving, slightly more psychological depth being introduced to DC's mainstays. Like many books of its time, it was designed for a demographic of monthly comic enthusiasts and is today regarded by collectors as a functional bridge in the character's publication history.
