Where it came from
The Good Guys #6 was published in 1993 as part of a short-lived independent comic book series. During this era, the industry saw a surge in creator-owned titles as independent publishers sought to challenge the dominance of major houses by emphasizing gritty, street-level storytelling and unconventional character dynamics.
The series is noted for its attempt to blend superhero tropes with the aesthetics of 1990s urban action fiction. While the titles from this specific publisher generally did not achieve mainstream longevity, they remain artifacts of the speculation-fueled comic market of the early 90s, valued today primarily by collectors who focus on the experimental breadth of that decade's independent publishing landscape.
