The Great Cleric #14

The Great Cleric, known in Japan as Seija Musō, originated as a light novel series written by Broccoli Lion before being adapted into a manga illustrated by Hiiro Akikaze. The series follows a salaryman who is reincarnated into a fantasy world as a healer, utilizing a unique blend of satirical corporate management tropes and traditional role-playing game mechanics. The manga serialization began in 2017 in Suiyōbi no Sirius, aiming to capture the growing trend of isekai narratives while focusing on the methodical, often grueling character progression of the protagonist.

Volume 14 of the manga adaptation continues the narrative arc following the protagonist Luciel’s ongoing efforts to survive and thrive within the Church of Saint Shizufa. Hiiro Akikaze’s design approach balances detailed character expressions with the structured, often chaotic environment of the fantasy world’s political and medical systems. The series has maintained a consistent readership due to its focus on persistence and strategic growth, and this volume represents the expansion of the franchise as it reached broader audiences following the announcement and release of its anime adaptation.
