The Invaders #28

The Invaders #28, published by Marvel Comics in May 1978, emerged during the final stretch of the series' initial run. The title focused on a team of World War II-era superheroes, primarily Captain America, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and the original Human Torch, fighting against the Axis powers. Created by Roy Thomas, the series sought to explore Marvel's historical continuity by placing these iconic characters in the context of global conflict, blending superhero tropes with period-specific storytelling.

The issue features cover art and interior pencils by Frank Springer, who brought a traditional comic book aesthetic to the title during a period of shifting editorial directions at Marvel.
