The Quiz #1

The Quiz #1 was published in 1947 by Quality Comics, emerging during the post-World War II era when comic book publishers were diversifying beyond the traditional superhero archetype. This anthology title was designed to capitalize on the public's enduring fascination with trivia, puzzles, and general knowledge, fitting into the broader trend of educational and interactive entertainment media that gained traction in the late 1940s.

The visual design and editorial structure were characteristic of the Quality Comics house style, focusing on a clean, accessible layout intended to engage younger readers and families. While the specific illustrator of the cover is often unattributed in archival records, the series reflected the publisher's attempt to bridge the gap between comic book storytelling and reader participation, though the title remained a short-lived experiment within their extensive catalog.
