The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest #29

The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest, originally titled Shikkakumon no Saikyō Kenja, is a Japanese light novel series written by Shinkoshoto and illustrated by Huuka Kazabana. The series began as a web novel on the user-generated site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2016 before being picked up for physical publication by SB Creative. The story follows Matthias Hildesheimer, a powerful sage who reincarnates in the distant future to pursue combat perfection, only to find that magical knowledge has regressed and his unique crest is now considered inferior.

The manga adaptation, illustrated by LIVER JAM & POPO, launched in 2017 via Square Enix's Manga Up! platform and continues to be serialized. As an installment in this ongoing manga adaptation, issue 29 follows the established visual style defined by the creative team, emphasizing the high-fantasy adventure and tactical progression that characterize the franchise. It fits into the broader body of work that eventually inspired an anime adaptation, contributing to the series' reputation as a staple of the 'reincarnation fantasy' genre popular in contemporary Japanese media.
