Ultimate Spider-Man #58

Ultimate Spider-Man #58, published in 2004, is part of the long-running Ultimate Marvel imprint, which was designed to modernize and streamline the origin and adventures of Peter Parker for a new generation of readers. The series was spearheaded by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mark Bagley, whose collaboration redefined the title as a grounded, character-driven soap opera that departed from the rigid continuity of the primary Marvel Universe.

This specific issue is a chapter within the 'Hollywood' story arc, which follows Peter Parker as he navigates the surreal and often cynical landscape of the film industry during the production of a movie based on his alter ego. Mark Bagley’s illustration style in this era is noted for its fluid, cinematic framing and expressive character work, which were instrumental in the immense commercial and critical success of the series during the early 2000s.
