Valiant Beyond: All-New Harbinger - It Never Stops #1

The All-New Harbinger series was launched by Valiant Entertainment in 2019 as a central pillar of their 'Valiant Beyond' editorial initiative. This relaunch aimed to modernize the classic Harbinger mythos, focusing on the character Peter Stancheck as he navigated a world where his powerful psionic abilities placed him at the center of complex social and political conflicts. The series was designed to serve as both an entry point for new readers and a continuation of the high-stakes narrative established in the 1990s.

The creative team for this launch, led by writer Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing with artwork by Robbi Rodriguez, sought to inject a kinetic, neon-drenched aesthetic into the title to reflect contemporary anxieties regarding power and surveillance. The debut issue received attention for its stylistic departure from previous iterations, aiming for a more grounded, character-focused exploration of Stancheck’s isolation. Critics generally noted the attempt to balance the series' legacy with a fresh, fast-paced visual language.
