Void Rivals #35

Void Rivals, published by Image Comics, serves as the cornerstone of the Energon Universe, a collaborative project between Image and Hasbro. This series was conceived to reintegrate the Transformers and G.I. Joe intellectual properties into a shared, cohesive continuity. Launched in 2023, the title was written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Lorenzo De Felici, who crafted a stark, expansive aesthetic intended to evoke the isolation of deep space and the high-stakes tension of an interstellar war.

The creative intent behind the series was to move away from established lore while introducing new, original characters that could eventually intersect with iconic franchises. The title received positive critical attention for its ability to balance traditional science-fiction world-building with the complex character dynamics Kirkman is known for. The specific issue mentioned belongs to a modern, ongoing narrative arc that continues to expand the reach of this burgeoning fictional universe.
