Wade Wilson: Deadpool #6

Wade Wilson: Deadpool #6 was published in 1994 as part of the four-issue miniseries sequel that followed Deadpool's initial breakout successes. During this era, Marvel Comics was capitalizing on the character's rapid rise in popularity following his introduction in New Mutants, positioning him as a distinct anti-hero who blended hyper-violence with the meta-humorous commentary that would eventually define his brand.

The issue features creative work by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist Joe Madureira, figures who were instrumental in shaping the visual and narrative tone of 1990s Marvel. Madureira’s dynamic, manga-influenced style helped establish the kinetic energy associated with the character, while the storytelling reflected the industry's shift toward grittier, more sarcastic protagonist archetypes during that decade.
