Wolverine #62

Wolverine #62 was published in October 1992 as part of the ongoing Wolverine series during a period of peak popularity for the character in the early 1990s. Written by Larry Hama with art by Marc Silvestri, the issue continues the 'Bloodlust' storyline, a narrative arc that explored Logan's feral nature and his complex relationship with his own violent instincts. This era of the series is characterized by its gritty, high-stakes storytelling which firmly established Logan as the quintessential anti-hero of the Marvel Universe.

The visual aesthetic of this issue reflects the distinct style of the early Image Comics influence that permeated Marvel titles at the time, with Silvestri providing dynamic, shadow-heavy panels that emphasized Wolverine's visceral combat style. Hama’s tenure on the title is widely regarded by fans and critics as the definitive run for the character, as he deepened Wolverine's internal psychological conflict while maintaining the intense, kinetic action that defined the X-Men franchise during the 1990s.
