X-Men Adventures #14

X-Men Adventures #14, released in 1993, served as a direct comic book adaptation of the hit 1992 Fox Kids animated series. Published by Marvel Comics, the series was designed to capitalize on the massive mainstream popularity of the show, which had introduced a generation of viewers to the mutant team. The issue specifically adapts the storyline from the animated episode titled 'Days of Future Past,' a fan-favorite arc that explores a grim, dystopian timeline.

The adaptation process involved translating the distinct visual style of the animation into a sequential comic format, often utilizing production stills or layouts from the show. While the writing aimed to capture the dramatic tone of the television series, the comic was marketed primarily to younger readers and animation enthusiasts rather than the collectors of mainstream X-Men continuity. It remains a notable example of the multimedia synergy Marvel pursued during the early 1990s.
