X-Men Infinity Comic #17

X-Men Infinity Comic #17 was released as part of Marvel's Infinity Comic initiative, a format specifically engineered for the vertical scrolling experience on mobile devices via the Marvel Unlimited platform. This series launched to bridge the gap between traditional print storytelling and the digital-native medium, allowing creators to utilize the infinite canvas to break free from the constraints of standard page layouts. It reflects a modern effort by the publisher to adapt the long-running X-Men franchise to the habits of contemporary digital readers.

The issue features the creative work of writer Steve Foxe and artist David Baldeón, who were tasked with maintaining the high-stakes, character-driven tone of the Krakoan era while experimenting with the unique panel transitions permitted by the vertical format. The design focus was on pacing and visual flow, ensuring that the transition between panels felt intuitive for a handheld screen. The series has been generally received as a successful integration of classic X-Men tropes into a high-utility, accessible digital-first format.
