X-Men Unlimited #37

X-Men Unlimited #37 was published by Marvel Comics in 2002 as part of a series designed to showcase standalone stories outside the immediate continuity of the primary monthly X-Men titles. This issue serves as a specific installment in a long-running anthology format that allowed writers and artists to explore the backstories, personal lives, and minor character arcs of the broader X-Men ensemble. The series was created to provide a dedicated space for creative teams to experiment with tone and narrative structure beyond the constraints of the main publishing line.

The issue features work by writer Joe Pruett and artist Brett Booth. Like much of the output from this era of Marvel, the creative direction focused on the aesthetic trends of the early 2000s, emphasizing dynamic, high-energy compositions and the signature style that characterized the publisher's house look during that period. The title is representative of the era's commitment to supporting side-narratives that bolstered the sprawling reach of the X-Men franchise, offering fans deeper dives into the motivations of characters who often took a secondary role in the flagship books.
